    Peppermint Snow Cream

Published: Feb 13, 2014 · Modified: Aug 3, 2021 by Jenn · This post may contain affiliate links.

Snow cream is the last recipe I ever thought I’d be blogging. I only remember being able to make it one time during my childhood. Thanks to not one, but two snow days here in Alabama this week I had the opportunity to make some with my own children.

This winter season has brought many cold days with lots of snow on the ground. If you’re looking for something new to try after making s’mores or hot chocolate, might I suggest trying out “snow” ice cream? It’s so quick and easy – just mix a few simple ingredients together and get ready to enjoy an icy treat ready for topping off with whatever goodies suit your fancy! We used sprinkles for fun.

    Ingredients

    8 cups snow
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 drop Young Living peppermint essential oil *
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Directions:

    1. Add Young Living peppermint essential oil* and vanilla to the can of sweetened condensed milk
    2. Mix thoroughly
    3. Pour mixture over snow
    4. Mix by hand
    5. Serve immediately before it melts…or your cat tries to eat it.

*Note that only Young Living essential oils are safe for internal consumption. Their peppermint essential oil has a supplement/nutrition label on each bottle. Please do not use peppermint oils from the health food store. They are all labeled “not for internal use.” Use peppermint extract from the grocery store instead if you don’t have access to YL peppermint oil.
