Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

Once you make hard-boiled eggs in your Instant Pot you'll never want to make them any other way! They cook up quickly and evenly and peel so easily. Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs are a great way to boil lots of eggs in a hurry. Make them for Easter egg hunts, deviled egg recipes, or for healthy snacks throughout the week.

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • ice


  • Place the eggs in the Instant Pot using stackable egg racks
  • Add 1 cup of water
  • Seal the Instant Pot lid and cook on manual for 6 minutes
  • Release the pressure manually when time is up and use tongs to place eggs into an ice bath.
  • Store in the refrigerator to snack on or peel them all at once under a trickle of water from the sink if you're using them in a deviled egg recipe.



Older eggs peel more easily than fresher ones. When hard-boiling eggs, use the oldest carton in your fridge and save the freshest ones for other recipes.
