- 4 lb pork loin The pork roast should be as large as can fit in your crock pot (mine was 3.75lbs in a 3qt. slow cooker)
- 1 large onion, roughly chopped
- 1 pkg onion soup mix
- 1 pkg ranch dressing mix
- 8 oz broth
Place onion on bottom of crock pot.
Lay roast on top of onions fat side up. <<< important
Sprinkle with ranch and soup mix.
Pour beef broth over the top.
Cook on high for 5 hours (you could cook on low all day, but it will fall apart and you want to be able to slice it into steaks)
Remove from crock and let rest at least 5 minutes before slicing.
You can use all the yummy goodness still left in the slow cooker to make gravy. Simply whisk in a mixture of cornstarch and water until the Crock Pot juices are the thickness you like.
