Doing Disney World with toddlers can be both incredibly rewarding and absolutely exhausting. Kind of like motherhood itself, right? While there are many rides and attractions to choose from, you will find that some rides are more toddler friendly than others! Look below at 7 of the best Disney World experiences for toddlers, so you can be sure your little ones experience the most toddler- friendly rides The Magic Kingdom has to offer.
1.The Small World Ride
There are so many things to love about this ride. Often times the lines are short and move quickly. Once on the boat, you are gently taken on a ride through various cultures while the famous It’s a Small World music plays. The sounds are soft, it is a visually stunning ride, and the mood is one that is happy and upbeat. It is a great ride to just sit back and relax on, particularly if it’s scorching hot outside and you all need a break from the heat.
2. Princess Meet and Greets
What child doesn’t want to meet their favorite princess? This is a nice experience for toddlers because it may not be as scary as doing meet and greets with masked characters. Be sure to use the Disney Park app to book Fast Passes for this attraction so you don’t have to wait long.
3. The Flying Dumbo Ride
This ride is nice for toddlers because you can control the movement of the elephant. You don’t have to go high if you don’t wish to, which is nice for kids with a fear of heights. The speed of the elephants is comfortable as well, with no sudden speed ups or drops that could scare kids. While there are now two of these rides, they still load and unload slowly. If the Dumbo ride is a must on your Disney World with toddlers trip, consider doing it early in the day. This was one of Sweet T’s favorite rides as a toddler.
4. Aladdin’s Magic Carpet Ride
Much like Dumbo, Aladdin’s Magic Carpet can also be controlled so that you only go as high as you wish. It is a smooth ride with fun music and no scary characters or aspects. There is a part of the ride that squirts out water, but if you wish to avoid this just keep your flying carpet at a lower level.
5. Peter Pan’s Flight
Peter Pan’s Magical Flight is a sweet ride that is visually appealing and doesn’t have any sudden drops or loud music. There are all sorts of fun visual displays while you wait in line, making the wait time a little more enjoyable.
6. Mad Hatter Tea Party Tea Cups
Visit the Mad Hatter Tea Party Tea Cups for a fun ride that you can control. Since the spinning wheel is in the center of the cup, you can decide how fast or slow you want to spin, if you want to spin at all. There are no sudden movements, loud noises, or other scary aspects of this ride so it is enjoyable for young children.
7. The Jungle Cruise
Hop aboard the Jungle Cruise and slowly cruise down the river where all sorts of animatronic animals can be seen on shore. You don’t get close to these exhibits, so this ride tends to be enjoyed by toddlers. It is a slow moving, enjoyable ride that may even be perfect for a tired toddler who needs a break!
Should you be enjoying Disney World with toddlers, a few of the rides you might wish to avoid due to loud noises, explosions, or sudden drops and dips include Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and the 7 Dwarfs Mine Ride. All of these may be too much for small eyes and ears.
