Does your little girl want Elsa hair but her hair is too short for a braid? Try this Frozen inspired updo instead.

Like so many little girls her age, Sweet T is lover of all things Elsa and Anna. She’s particularly fond of Elsa’s hair and has a current life goal of growing hers long just like her favorite character’s. I haven’t exactly told her no, but I have made it clear that she can only have long hair if she’s the one washing, drying, and brushing the tangles out of it. Suave Kids – DISNEY FROZEN is helping her along the way!

Since Sweet T is just now transitioning from baths to showers, I love that Suave Kids Frozen comes in a stand-up bottle with a pump. This makes it so much easier for little ones to dispense on their own while learning to wash their own hair in the shower. Plus the formula rinses easily and doesn’t leave residue. This drama-free tear-free shampoo + conditioner smells amazing too. The winter melon scent is Sweet T’s favorite part.

Frozen Inspired Updo

Since her hair isn’t long enough to braid and wear over her shoulder Elsa-style (a fact she laments on a weekly basis) I decided to give Sweet T a Frozen-inspired ‘do instead. I saw this hair bow tutorial and adapted it a little bit for her hair length.

  1. Wash hair with Suave Kids – DISNEY FROZEN shampoo + conditioner for shine and sweet scent.
  2. Dry hair: I let hers air-dry since it’s so naturally straight anyway and it’s in the triple digits here right now.

4. Separate loop into two equal sections and clip one to the side.

5. Spread the other side out with your fingers to resemble a bow shape and pin in place with a bobby pin

6. Unclip the other side and repeat.

7. If your child’s hair is long enough, you can wrap the “tail” that’s between the bow sections around the middle to look like a bow. Since Sweet T’s is so short, we left the tail hanging and went with a snowflake-looking rhinestone clip that channels her inner Elsa.

She left her style in until bedtime and really didn’t want to take it out then so I think it was a hit!

Suave Kids Disney didn’t leave our little man out! Suave Kids Star Wars formula is shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all in one. This helps him be more independent at bath time too because let’s face it; soap is going all over the place anyway if we leave it in his hands so yay for a 3-in-1, tear-free formula!
